1 Bike Wall Hook - easy to fit and use without lifting

Good but doesn't nicely fit 3" (or even 2.25") tyres

The hook is a solid piece of steel and comes with a good wall plug and screw for mounting to a solid wall, so I'm not worried about my bike falling off the wall! However, I did not like that my 2.25" tyres prevented my rim from taking the weight of the bike. Due to the hook being too narrow, the weight of the bike is on the tyre, pulling against the tyre/rim seal. Gearhooks say this is fine, but seeing as the fix is to simply make the hook a bit wider so wider tyres fit comfortably, I don't see why they wouldn't do it. I was able to bend the hook wider to comfortably accommodate my tyres, but had to use a vice for this, which I think goes against the quick and easy, minimal DIY, image that is being portrayed. It was an easy mod to do with a vice, but I would be surprised if DIY adverse people have a vice. If the product was advertised for smaller tyre sizes that fit within the hook, or if it was just bent a bit wider to accommodate 3" tyres, then it would be 5 stars.

Well made hooks you can trust to hold your bike safely

These are a well made sturdy hooks with adjustment so you can hang your bike safe in the knowledge that it’s not going to crashing to the ground. Why risk your bike that you may have paid several thousand pounds for on some cheap hook made from a cheap steel that cost a few pence to manufacture in China? I was lucky the cheapo hook I bought online failed as I took my bike down to ride, I still break out in a sweat thinking of the £6k bike crashing to the garage floor in the middle of the night.

Excellent product

Just installed my new Gear Hook and it works perfectly. The instructions were clear so I was able to choose the right height to install the hook quickly, and even though I had to buy separate fittings as I was installing on plasterboard, the instructions likewise made this clear also. Simple design but excellent quality, saving me a lot of floor space in an apartment where every square foot counts!
