Organic Shiitake Mushroom Grow Kit Fruiting Block

I have admittedly had some issues with this fruiting block. The instructions are to let it rest and brown for around 2 months after manufacture, but it has been almost 4 months from manufacture based on the sticker on the block, and it is still only spotty brown. I have kept it at the recommended temperature inside the the bag it came in since it arrived, and can only hope it is just taking its sweet time.

I planted these in a container last week, after leaving it in the box it arrived in for 2 weeks. I harvested my first 4 mushrooms this morning! So happy!
