A great touch

If you don't want to just remove the whole pillion brackets because of the little bit of fall protection they provide, or because you are using a pannier rail that hangs off oft them, these beautifully finished pieces will clean up the back of the bike nicely. I did end up getting a shorter machine screw than they came with, even with my pannier rail bracket taking up some space there the provided bolts are a bit long, which detracts a bit from the whole cleaning up effect if you're particularly picky
