I ordered Holy Grail the moment it released. This was my first Jalu fragrance and I wanted to see if he could recreate that darker 2013 Creed Aventus style that is almost impossible to find now. Holy Grail delivers exactly that feeling. The birch is the strongest feature. It opens with a dry smoky wood note that feels natural and dense. It has that burnt timber character older batches were known for and it stays present from the start all the way into the dry down. The pineapple is rich and full. It is not bright or sugary like newer interpretations. It has a deeper fruit tone that feels more realistic. It brings a thick juicy layer that blends perfectly with the smoke and gives the scent its signature profile without making it playful or overly sweet. The oak moss sits clearly in the base and adds a strong earthy green tone. It gives the fragrance a grounded forest type structure. It creates a darker undertone that keeps the whole scent feeling mature and layered. The way the oak moss interacts with the smoky birch is one of the things that makes Holy Grail stand out because it builds that vintage character that most modern clones miss. The overall construction stays consistent for hours. It never collapses into a flat musky base. It keeps the same smoky fruity earthy structure all the way through. Performance is serious. I have more than fifty fragrances and none have pulled attention like this. People notice it without me even trying. Holy Grail convinced me to order three more Jalu fragrances immediately.
