Sorrel Pant

Brilliant! I’ve made 2 pairs in 2 weeks. The first in a heavyish linen that fit so well without any modifications that I immediately looked for what else I had in the stash and I’ve now made a pair in a dark indigo denim with rust topstitching.The extra time changing threads and needles was worth the effort. I’m now trying to work out if I need more. Great pattern. Great instructions especially surrounding the pockets and zippered fly make for a really professional finish. A delightful bit of sewing. I shall be keeping my eye out for your adult patterns in future.

The instructions are great! The tips provided, like bias binding the inner-zip -seams make for a good looking (longer lasting) inner pant. The pleat, the french seamed pockets and the elasticated waist elevate the pants. The main problem I had was getting the sizing right. Following the pattern (I cut a size D) the legs were simply too large, I sized down 2-3 sizes throughout. That could just be my body type:5'3" W 29, H38. The waist sizing seemed okay...Just a tip to be prepared to adjust...Once locked in on size the pants are come together easy, look good and are really comfy.

I waited for this pattern to be released since I saw the preview on Instagram and immediately bought it the day it came out. I enjoyed the pattern a lot. I love the fit and look. I graded the waist to a few sizes smaller and that worked well. I just had to sew down the fold in the front because it gaped a little because of that. Next time I'll change to bigger pocket bags. But overall I would recommend the pattern to everyone.
