I am a slow reader but am enjoying every page It brings back my rural life in Kerry as I knew it and reminds me of so many neighbours

An utterly entrancing story, beautifully told.

It was not my intent to finish this book in one go. But I did. And I regret nothing. It is a incredibly rare treat to encounter such an exquisite story matched only by the startling beauty of its telling. And with its main character, Julia McDermot, I am in love. Would we all have the fortune to encounter a Julia in our lives. Thank you John MacKenna for sharing her story with us all.
