After about 1.5 hours my wife ( not overweight) reported her butt was sore. We have ridden subsequently with it on and off. She prefers it off. As driver, I would say initial comfort is better but within an hour I would say no difference. I am looking into something different that might make a better difference. Thanks for asking.

I have not yet had a rider with me, how ever i'm sure it would make the ride better for individuals i let ride with me.
