Aquaglide Chelan 140 DS - 2 Person Drop-Stitch Inflatable Kayak

We got out on the water for the first time this weekend at Dalmeny, NSW. Drove down to the water and partially inflated the Chelan 140 with 12v from the car. We then finished with the pump. Setup was quick and easy and we were in the water in no time at all. Really enjoyed our first day spent kayaking in the river and lake. Big thanks to the staff at River to Ocean who got our order sorted.

We purchased this in September on back order. I had done a lot of research and wanted something versatile that converted single to tandem easily, as well as being used on various waterways. Ocean, lakes, rivers and small rapids. We have taken this kayak on all of them. Performed super well, glides easily as long as the rudder/keel was in place. Super easy to covert with Velcro seats in/out. Blow up inflatable seats are super comfy and supportive but make the kayak a little heavier adding 5kg when carrying. As stable as our rigid hard-shell kayak and relatively tough. Carried on roof of car short distances as well as inflate/deflate after use. I am medium strong person but I can't lift on/off roof as too heavy (husband can) but can inflate/deflate it for transport. If looking for a quality, versatile kayak. this is it!
