I can’t say that beyond the promise of smart features it feels like a $1500 tool, even with the current discount. The drill is heavy, even if the battery is small for 4.2 Ah and doesn’t feel as premium as the price tag suggests. The battery is hard to install (tight fit), and even harder to remove, also due to the weird latching mechanism. The charger has a color screen for detailed charging stats. The main selling point of the tool itself is the integrated screen and smart controller. Prepare for a lot of swiping. The interface isn’t always logically laid out and maybe a few more actual buttons would be useful besides the trigger and direction change. The companion app is not working. It supposedly paired the drill but then keeps stating offline aside from the wrong stats being shown (i.e., firmare shows 0.1.4) Removing a tool from the app seems impossible. For a tool in this price range that’s built aroubd tge smart functions, that’s a puzzling problem.
