Personalised Aperol Spritz Cocktail Letterbox Biscuit

This turned out to be a disaster from start to finish! I placed an order on the website, which was straightforward enough, requesting a hand-iced birthday message with delivery in early August. It was intended as a surprise 'birthday card' for an octegenarian, however, it was me who got the biggest surprise when I facetimed the recipient the following day in June, only to see him holding a Biscuiteers letterbox package aloft! He had obviously opened it and read the enclosed birthday message but when he showed me the actual biscuit, there was no personalised iced message apparent, meaning that all of the instructions on the order form had been totally ignored & the surprise had been ruined. I contacted Biscuiteers by email with my complaints asking for a refund but was only offered for them to resend the item on the correct date or a credit to my account so that I could choose an alternative. The former wasn't acceptable as the surprise element had been ruined & I wasn't totally happy about the latter option, feeling disinclined to order anything else and have a repeat performance. The original order also had 20% off & I thought that by accepting a credit note I would have lost this but it was then clarified by Biscuiteers that they had credited my account with the full cost of the item plus postage.

Biscuit was great and recipient loved it. Unfortunately royal mail delivered it a day late.

Just what I wanted for my son’s birthday, something a bit different, it will be a lovely surprise.
