I got it on sale, it is a great photographic collection of Joan Jett from her childhood, to The Runaways, up to 2010, when the book was published. There are multiple chapters with a perfect balance of text and full length photographs. This is just what I wanted in a book about a rockstar, I don’t want a giant novel of words and this isn’t that, which is great. I want to see the historic photos to go along with the information, the song lyric snippets, the batch of old concert posters… the actual art and culture behind rock ‘n’ roll, and this book delivered everything.
