A choice selection of rags and ragtime waltzes, half of them by Scott Joplin, played with gusto by nimble fingered pianist Bryan Wright. A most enjoyable hour plus.

Bought this 'cause the price was a bit lower and I already owned another CD of Brian Wright's piano artistry. While I own recordings of at least half the pieces already, I was quite impressed with the performance of "Bethena" the concert waltz; I never liked it that much before. This version sounded more like a waltz than a ragtime waltz, if that makes any sense. Also liked the commonly played "Magnetic Rag." (Sorry I can't recall enough details--have listed to this disc only once so far & bought 2 others with it.)
