Daddy Long Legs: Cook and Campfire at Waist High!

excellent concept

been looking for a way to get my fire pit at waist height for cooking- this works. I had some issues, but talked with the owner (that never happens) and we sorted it out, got some ideas for potential improvements.That type of customer service is nearly non existent anymore and a wonderful change, maybe other small business will take note!

Pre-order Item

Overall the unit is well made and quality. Note my comment is for the pre-order group. My primary constructive criticism is that the bolts that connect to the base plate are raised. The raised bolts are what the lava box then sits on. Although functionally probably doesn’t cause a lot of instability, the unit just rocks much more than I would have expected. Comfortable with using it as a fire, but not cooking with the big plate or boiling water/soup. Perhaps a solution is to countersink the bolts or add a spacer/bump at the four corners. Hopefully this comment is helpful.

Innovative

As disappointed I was in the pre order process and lack of communication for this new item, it seems to be well made. After 8 weeks of a placing the order only one communication went out that was still vague with zero timing explained on it. Only time will tell on this new item and using it more.
