I've been using Foligain Advanced Hair Regrowth Shampoo with 2% Minoxidil & 2% Trioxidil in combination with Foligain's minoxidil treatment and Finasteride prescribed by my dermatologist. I have to say, this shampoo, along with Aveda's "invati" shampoo for hair loss, is one of the only products that actually works for me. It has made a noticeable difference in thickening my hair, which has boosted my self-confidence significantly. But, I have to admit that I am clueless as to what "Trioxidil" is. One downside is that for the shampoo to be effective, you need to let it sit on your scalp for a good 5 minutes, which can be a bit of a hassle when you are in a rush. Another small gripe is that I wish Foligain’s companion conditioner came with a dose of Minoxidil as well—it would make for an even more powerful combination. Also, while the conditioner has a fantastic scent, I wish the shampoo smelled as great. It's not unpleasant but it is not as pleasing as the scent of the conditioner. Price-wise, Foligain’s shampoo is on par with Aveda's product, but the big advantage here is that Foligain includes minoxidil, which is a clinically proven ingredient for hair regrowth. Overall, I’m very pleased with the results and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an effective hair regrowth solution. It is pricy but the bottle goes a long way.
