Has the looks of a smart and premium jacket

It certainly has the looks of a smart and premium jacket - people complement me on it. It fits well (apart from the sleeves being a bit long for me). The fancy insulation does work well. It's very thin but remarkably warm. (If they had put just another mm or two it would have been as warm as my puffer jacket.) It feels like it's breathable and is certainly windproof and probably waterproof. The main downside is the cord you can tighten at the bottom to keep the cold air out. It creates two loops that always seem to get in the way when I try to get anything out of my jeans pockets. The other thing is that there's a lot of blue dye come off my jeans onto the bottom-inside of the jacket (they did not get wet). I think it would have been better to get the grey one.

Exactly the kind of winter jacket I've been looking for. Down jackets keep you warm, but if you move around or sweat a little, they quickly become uncomfortable. Multi-layered jackets are also an option, of course, but then you always have several pieces that you have to put on and take off. With this puffer jacket, I haven't had that problem yet, so the purchase was definitely worth it.

Awesome NASA jacket (8 Star rating)

I found out about NASA and their Aerogel technology for warmth and repelling the cold temperature. So I looked to see if anyone was making jackets for us common people and found this jacket. I ordered it with high expectations and when it arrived, I was blown away by the warmth of it and awesome style. I haven't said this in a very long time, but it actually exceeded my expectations. I can't believe how a light jacket can be so warm without it being so bulky and puffy. This Aerogel technology is absolutely amazing. It not only reflects the heat back into you, it acts as a shield keeping the cold out. No wonder NASA people in space stay warm in -270 degrees C. It's minus 14 C today as I blew out the driveway and lane way. All I had was a shirt and the jacket and I was extremely warm. I was just sitting on the open tractor without moving much. If you're walking or shoveling your generating heat. But I was just sitting and was warm as anything. I also love all the zipper pockets. They are in very strategic places which is really handy as I like to carry "stuff" on me. The functionality is amazing with a front zipper hood high up to your nose, lots of pockets and adjustment draw string. My wife loved it and now she has one too. So we're both warm and stylish. No, I wasn't paid to make these comments. I just love this Aerogel technology and I think we found a real gem of a jacket. A well kept secret that really should not be a secret. It really works in the real world of winter and cold. And you look good too as a bonus. Cheers, Jan
