Only oil additive (power steering too) I use. yes, most additives make things worse.
My 2001 Tahoe, 220k miles, had oil pressure issues (inconsistent pressure warm, low pressure cold, needle would move at constant highway speed). So I researched it, and the consensus was to do an engine flush. I did a flush with 2 quarts of Blue Devil flush (seems to be mostly kerosene) and 5 quarts of fresher synthetic oil (Quaker State FS, 5w-30) - overfilling a quart appears to do nothing to a 5.3 LS, especially lower RPM. I did a 2000 rpm idle for about 12 minutes. Drained the oil / kerosene mix, changed the oil again, ran for several minutes again to get all the kersone mixed up, changed the oil again. This did solve the inconsistent oil pressure issue and the oil pressure was up a bit cold and warm, but still a little low (just under 40 at cold idle, and 35ish warmed at highway speeds). The next time I changed the oil I added Archoil 9100. Now, after about 50 miles of driving, my oil pressure is about 50psi cold idle, and near 60psi warm up at highway speed - rock solid. And, the oil stays very clean to about 5000-6000 miles (when I change it). Remarkable oil (and other lubricant / fluids) additive. Thanks, Dan Scriver

Stiction Eliminator
I have a 2004 6.0 powerstroke, and tried every different additive on the market, I tried archoil and I am not looking back. Immediately noticed a smoother idle, increased power, and the minor stiction i was having is gone 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
