Love the bottle, but the gasket in the lid...

I had one of these bottles before and used it every day for almost a year. Unfortunately I lost it, so I decided to order another one. I love this style of bottle and really like the color that I got this time. However, the little stopper in the top of the lid has a smell to it. It is almost cheesy. I have taken it out and washed it directly (I never had to do this with my previous bottle which is why I wanted to bring it up) and I also only ever use water in the bottle. I am not sure where the scent comes from and nothing is visibly gross or anything like that - based on some research it seems it might be a manufacturing thing just based on the material/batch it came from.

The improvements made on this water bottle are everything! I love that it now fits in my cupholder in the car and I also like the lock feature that is not attached to the handle! The color read my lips is a gorgeous deep pink burgandy with a hint of sparkle! Love love love
