Cautery tools are essential for every fly tyer. Razor blades can help clean old hooks, but cautery tools get the job done much quicker. These are disposable, but with normal use, they last for quite a while!

I love the cautery tool it's useful in so many ways as a fly tyer. You don't realize how often you will use it until you get one so much so that I gave one to a close friend who ties everyday and he immediately called me and had already used it.
