Great for the student pilot

I have about 12 hours using this headset and for the price I could not be happier! The ANR is pretty dang good for a headset at this price point. Yes, it uses an older style technology where you have a box on a third cord that runs on a 9V battery, but it does work in the "auto" mode coming on with the aviation master switch without issue in my DA-20 trainer plane. It also has an additional aux cord that can be plugged into one of the earphones to facilitate music or phone calls from your smart phone. Again an older style setup, but for the new student pilot is definitely a solid choice at a great price.

ANR

This is very nice headset that has lots of volume. Works good in noisy environments. The ANR does cut out the lower frequency sounds but not the higher frequency ones. Also, the ANR circuitry is in a separate little cheap plastic box along with the battery, not disclosed in the pictures. Just another poorly designed thing to float around the cockpit. I'm very unhappy about that. It could have been built into the head band.

Great value in an ANR headset

Too early to tell how they will hold up, but headsets are comfortable and have good noise reduction features. I like the 9 Volt battery as they seem to last longer than the two AAs in my LightSpeed Zulus. Time will tell how they hold up, but so far, very satisfied with very good headsets at 1/3 the price of brand names.
