Let me be very honest here… I have fragrance oils that cost double the price of this one, and I still have to use 8-9% in my wax.
At 8% in a 5 oz candle, the cold throw on this is almost too strong which is actually a GREAT thing because I can easily drop down to 6-7% and still get a strong scent.
The cold throw is definitely watermelon-forward, but it’s not giving Jolly Rancher or artificial candy. I’m picking up watermelon with a nice touch of lime, and I have a feeling that once I test burn it, those herbal notes are going to come through even more.
I’m usually not a huge fan of fruity scents because they tend to smell medicinal to me… but NOT this one!
Exactly the job I wanted from this oil. I’m really impressed so far, and I’m excited to see how it performs in the hot throw.
