RFX Starter Kit with 2 Probes

Have had my eyes on this RFX setup for sometime after having issues with constant disconnects on another brands wireless probe. I already use an Thermoworks instant read thermometer and the RFX meat probes and gateway were highly recommended by many users in the BBQ and meat smoking groups I’m a member of. Only used the kit for a few cooks so far but it has performed fantastically. The setup of the probes and registering them and the ambient probe to the gateway was straightforward and well explained in the supplied documentation and on Thermoworks website. The companion app is very straightforward and lacks the polish and shine of some other brands apps but I actually prefer the simplicity and straightforward layout. It is no frills, but what it does, it does superbly well. The cooks I’ve done so far the kit has performed faultlessly. I’ve not once had a probe disconnect, and on checking the recorded wireless temperatures with my insta read thermometer they were absolutely spot on giving me confidence that the temperatures being reported by the wireless meat probes and ambient probe are accurate to within fractions of a degree. My only observation is I’m getting way less battery life than advertised, one of the probes was fully charged and I got a low battery warning after about a 6 hour cook, however, I suspect this is down to the frequency of refresh rate that I have the probes set to in the settings and if I increase the time between measurements for long low and slow cooks I’ll see closer to the advertised battery life. Overall very very happy with my purchase, and would have no hesitation recommending this kit to others.

Very accurate , easy to use, fast service.

Really good piece of kit. The probes are working perfectly, super easy to follow on the app (through the gateway). Customer service was excellent...had a problem with the ambient temp probe but this was replaced/dispatched within 24 hours. It's an expensive purchase for sure, but I'm happy with the grilling experience so far and ETI customer service. Also bought 2 Thermopens...they make perfect gifts. Delivery on the purchases was next day...awesome customer experience all round
