Although the company is based in Canada, the items are actually manufactured in and distributed from China. That didn't worry me particularly - the manufacturing and shipping updates on the order page were accurate and they arrived in under three weeks. Sizing is also correct - I needed a UK 9 and bought a US 10, which is the equivalent - and they fit properly. The boots look great, the patterns are as shown on the website, the construction looks relatively robust (although they are no Dr Martens and I doubt will last as long!) and they are comfortable. There are a few tatty bits of cutting on the edges of the tongue that I will have to trim off. They smelt strongly of solvent/printing ink when they arrived, but a couple of days airing pretty much got rid of that. I bought two pairs on a 2 for the price of 1 deal and at that price the cost was OK - I wouldn't pay any more and certainly wouldn't pay the 'full' retail price for 1 pair. On the whole, I am pretty happy with my purchase - there are some other designs I like as well, but will wait to see how well these last before making another order!
