This is my favorite mallet to use for any gong, lightweight, love the wood handle.

A nice alternative

I am new to the world of gongs. I purchased a Chalklin mallet out of curiosity and was not disappointed. It has quite a bit of heft and seems very well made. Mallets each seem to have their own personality and producing variations of sound is part of the enjoyment of the gong. I like the ambient effects.
