Barrier Balm

Lovely balm!

I wanted to try this balm for a trip where I didn't want to bring my entire skincare system with me. I knew I only wanted cleanser, this balm and sunscreen and felt this balm would be a perfect solution. I love the texture of this balm - in the jar it's thick, near solid, but still soft and smooth. Once on my hands, it softens even more so I can evenly blot it onto my face and neck with ease. The scent is mostly woodsy, not overpowering and pleasant. I used this for just over a week on my vacation, and even though it is thicker than my usual moisturizer, it did not feel occlusive or cause any breakouts. I have combination skin, slightly on the sensitive side and this worked beautifully.

I am a longtime devotee of Wonder Valley products. Their latest offering, the Barrier Balm, will definitely become a new staple for me. It nourishes, it’s deeply moisturizing and is clearly made with the same care and integrity I value in all Wonder Valley offerings.

I love this balm, but I did not think I would. Since I love all of the Wonder Valley products, I purchased it out of curiosity, despite it being a bit pricey. I wondered if it would feel too thick on my skin. It does not. I wondered if it would suffocate my pores and make my face sweat. It does not! I wondered if it would smell like...balm? It does not. It smells faintly of tomato leaf and other delicious magical scents. My face feels comfortable when I apply it after a shower. Very enjoyable to use.
