I Was This Many Years Old When I Learned Backpacks Could Do This
I loved my old gym duffel the way you love a golden retriever that sheds everywhere and knocks over lamps — deeply, unconditionally, and at growing cost to my shoulder. It held my shoes, clothes, belt, and forty pounds of “just in case,” but hauling it felt like rescuing a golden retriever from a well. Then the KNKG Core Backpack in waxed canvas walked into my life and I felt like someone finally told me the M&M’s go IN the popcorn. A revelation. This bag holds my size 12s in their own sealed shoe dungeon, a full change of clothes, and my lifting belt clipped smugly outside like it’s showing off. Enough pockets that my stopwatch, headphones, wallet, and keys have never once had an awkward run-in. It’s organized, handsome, and aging like it’s trying to win a rugged-but-emotionally-available contest. Same, bag. Same. I no longer carry forty pounds like I’m auditioning for strongman. I carry one gorgeous, capable backpack, and I genuinely could not tell you where my old duffel lives now. Attic? Witness protection? We don’t talk about it. Every day I pick this thing up and feel a small, ridiculous flutter of gratitude. 10/10. Would let it hold my belt again.

Only Bag I Need.
I’ve gone through a lot of gym bags over the years, and most of them fall apart, smell terrible, or just don’t fit real lifter needs. This one surprised me. The Core KNKG waxed canvas bag feels different right away. it’s got that rugged, broken-in look like it actually belongs in a gym, not just a locker room. The material is tough but still clean-looking, and it somehow manages to look better the more you use it instead of worse. What really sold me is how functional it is without being overdesigned. Everything has a purpose. Shoes don’t stink up your clothes, smaller pockets actually hold things where you expect them, and it doesn’t turn into a black hole when you’re trying to grab something quick between sets. I run a pretty busy schedule as an early morning baker and carry a lot- lifting gear, extra clothes, sometimes even food and this bag handles it without feeling bulky or flimsy. I don’t like how big duffel bags are but this bag feels like one with the backpack functionality which is what I don’t know I needed. It’s one of those pieces of gear you don’t realize you needed until you have it. Most bags feel disposable. This one feels like it’s going to stick around for years. If you’re serious about your training and want something that matches that energy, this is it.
