Would have liked more instruction, but I guess I didn't need it.
I was hoping for a little more instruction, even though they said it had limited instructions. It was just the pattern, with no other instructions. But it did tell me the seam allowance for the sides and how much to allow for a rod pocket if needed. I didn't actually use the pattern for cutting out my fabric, but I used it to see how much bigger my fabric should be compared to the final project and then just cut the proper sized rectangle out with my rotary cutter. And I guess I didn't need more instructions because I just finished my very first lectern fall and it turned out great! For reference, I made my husband's ordination stole with a kit from Stoles Created. Other than that, this is my first time making anything ecclesiastical, but I have been sewing clothes from patterns since my youth. Some information that would have been helpful would be some info on how to create and sew on the orphrey bands, what order to put the three layers before sewing together, suggested fabrics for the interfacing, and some more info on how to make a rod pocket (although my church uses velcro to attach, so maybe instructions for that option too, though that one is not hard to figure out).
