Mk1 Spinning Top - Stainless

I got the Machine Finished Mk1 - Stainless with a ruby contact point beginners set and from the moment your top arrives it’s immediately clear that this is a premium product from the care and detail in the packaging. This is the Ferrari or Rolex of spinning tops but less pretentious so maybe more like the Toyota and Casio of spinning tops (2 brands known for their reliability and quality control). The top is balanced with a low centre of gravity, an appropriate sharpness to the knurling and has a good amount of torque to it. I love the handle to body circumference ratio chosen as it gives a good feeling on the gearing with heavy feedback when you spin it. At around 40g (depending on what material you choose) which sounds light but feels very heavy in the hand as they’re made from very dense materials. Once the top has been spun it seems to become almost completely weightless and due to its construction can even remain spinning, appearing almost motionless at very low rpm before it begins to wobble and fatigue. The machine finished all steel Mk1 with ruby is a perfect companion for anyone who enjoys premium tactile items and finds themself being creative in front of a computer or at a desk.
