Knitting Cord

Great purchase, I have used them a few times already and it achieves what I want them to do. I knit flat so I can secure the back and 2 fronts of my garment onto the cords at the shoulder seams & use safety pins to pins the sides. So I can kind of pre-assemble the garment and check to see how the fit is. I use a toothpick or hand sewing needle to insert into the end of the cords which makes it easier to feed the stitches onto the cord although being silicone it does grab the wool a wee bit. The only negative is that they have a strong aroma about them which is a bit off putting. Teapot yarns - I would welcome any suggestions to get rid of the aroma!
