As someone with skinny calves, finding a gaiter that fits my shoes but isn't too big for my calves can be challenging. These gaiters have an upper adjustable strap that secures the gaiter too my leg without any discomfort. The material is tough and sits snug to my lower leg. While I haven't tried walking through any rivers or streams just yet, they have held up great in the rain.
