This is a very nice quality pedestal mount kit. The fit and finish are very nice on this. It has a 300 pound load capacity which is great. It spins very smoothly with zero binding or extra friction. It feels solid sitting on with hardly any flex which is great. It is very beefy, hence why it weighs so much. Being made from stainless steel and aluminum it will be able to withstand marine conditions. The 14" height is great for leg comfort as well. Overall would recommend!

These were so much better than the set I returned. Snug fit for the posts, and they are threaded at bottom to really lock in your post. Swivels are smooth, and the slight cushion from the springs on seat base is welcome. Also ordered a set of just the base plates for casting seats. And they are a vast improvement as well. Quick shipping, all hardware included, and a great product.

This is a very nice pedestal seat kit. It comes with a stainless steel base, a 14" seat pole, and a seat mount plate — for the price, it's a great one-stop kit. The seat pole has a screw-in bottom that threads into the base, keeping it securely locked in place while moving around the boat or running through rougher water.
I already had a base on my boat without the screw-in feature, and I'm happy to report the screw-in pole works perfectly fine with a non-screw base, and vice versa — nice bit of flexibility if you're mixing and matching parts.
Once mounted, the kit provides a very sturdy seating setup. My only gripe is that I wish the pole was a little longer — I'm 6'2", and the 14" height feels slightly short for me. That said, with a 300 lb weight capacity, the unit feels hardy and spins smoothly with no resistance. The 15° tilt bracket adds a bit of give for comfort, and the seat spring helps absorb some of the bounce in choppier water.
Overall, a solid purchase.
