It always felt a bit too fancy for site work, but I decided to get one for the workshop. I’ve ended up keeping it for site. My worry that it wouldn’t mark well on rough surfaces like OSB were unfounded, and the quality of the line is really crisp. It makes for neater freehand cuts with a circular saw. It’s all about neat layout.
