Good, just not what I wanted

Bought this primarily for the green aspect of it. As someone with very pigmented lips and an olive undertone I often like putting something green down as a light base before my main color to help tone it down and not make it look so bold and frankly clownish on me. I was really hoping this could be one of those products, but it just doesn't work how I need it to. See, the base is green, but only when left completely untouched. As soon as you apply friction to it, that shimmer comes through and turns the whole thing blue-grey. To the point at first I thought I had gotten the wrong shade. And because of the formula-- this really thick, mousse texture-- if you want it to be applied evenly, you just /have/ to rub it in. So there's really not a usable green side to this. Like a ph changing product that starts black. Sure, that's there in theory, but that's not ever gonna be the color you end up with. It's not bad, it's smooth, it feels good on the lips, a little goes a long way, but I just wish it was advertised differently.

This is such a lovely formula. It feels great, the color wears lovely over time. Easily has become a quick favorite lip for me.

I dont like the green tone this product has. Its very army green when I was expecting more grey. Someone with olive or yellow undertones may like this product a lot more! The formula is very nice though.
