Runs small, but well designed
This is exactly what I was looking for in a wool athletic sweater to warm skiing and transition into the evening. I'm usually a large but ordered an XL for a roomie fit and unfortunately the XL fits more like a medium or a snug large. I will likely pass this along to my SIL who is a medium.

The concept of this sweater is excellent: functional as a ski baselayer, stylish enough for apres. But it falls short on function for a couple reasons. Pros: great material and the right warmth/weight for a baslayer. Cons: a little short in torso, so it rides up when you lift your arms which isn’t great for something that’s supposed to insulate. Fine with bibs, less fine with regular snow pants. But the biggest issue is sleeve length; if you are going to put in thumb holes, the sleeves need to be long enough to use the thumb holes without stretching the whole sleeve down. I wore the thumb holes for a couple hours while backcountry skiing and now the cuffs are super stretched and distorted. Part of the issue might be that the sweater runs quite small. I’m usually a medium, but after looking at the measurements ordered a large, and it’s still on the small side. With a few tweaks this would be a really awsome piece. It’s close, so if you are short and have t-rex arms, give it a shot.

Comfy, warm & cute
Love the look of this base layer! Not itchy at all so you don’t need to wear anything underneath. I would say it runs small though. I am usually between a woman’s medium and large. I got the large because I wanted a looser fit. It’s not loose at all though & I would like it to be a little bit longer as well. Overall, I like how this can be worn on it’s own and still looks cute and put together for a base layer.
