Car coat

I loved the photos I saw of this coat but it just didn’t suit me. The pattern was clearly explained and the video on you tube was really helpful. I used up some fabric that had been gifted to me to make it and really took my time. The only problem I had was when it came to attach the sleeve linings. I’ve been sewing for 50’years so didn’t anticipate a problem. But I really struggled to follow the instructions. I eventually worked it out but I don’t think the instructions clearly explain at what point you turn the whole jacket through using the hole in the side seam. That would have helped me more quickly understand the sleeve lining issue. Apart from that I learned a lot from the process and was pleased with the overall construction, even if it didn’t suit me

Perfect fit

The pattern pieces and explanations on them were perfect. The explanation and video on YouTube missed few details.
