So far so good. I’m a private chef and cut a lot of veggies on a 12 hour shift. I tend to buy high quality Japanese steel and have several Shun knives including a chef knife from the new shuranami line. Unfortunately I don’t think this knife is Japanese steel. I’m currently using it quite a bit and putting it through the ringer. It’s held it’s out of the box edge for a couple of weeks so far with a little honing. Time will tell. But overall not a bad piece
