We have enjoyed our Gritzy grits for mornings when we were in a hurry, and our favorite- camping! So easy. We added some already cooked veggies, cheese, and ham and it was a super quick breakfast!

I have prepared Gritzy on the stove and with the microwave. I prefer the stovetop method and, as suggested, I added a tablespoon. I found I needed to stir the grits constantly while they warmed and I did not mind that at all because they warmed quickly. The grits have a pleasant corn flavor. The texture was fairly creamy but not as smooth as I had expected, in fact, there were a couple of bits of hard kernels in each pack I have prepared. With the microwave method I found that a small amount of the grits stuck and hardened to the corners of the pack. I think if I lower the microwave time and squeeze the pouch more thoroughly that will help. I am glad Mattie B's is carrying Gritzy now; ordering online with shipping and handling my cost was $36.
