More reliable than plastic parachutes
I am putting these nylon rip stop parachutes in most all my rockets from now on because they always open when deployed. Plastic parachutes sometimes have difficulty opening during cold winter conditions.

Larger and tougher
Looks heavy duty, cords might be a little heavier on lift off.
