Very soft, like a med/heavy silk. Color as advertised. I am 5'9, it touches the floor on me. I am a size 16, it would close like a robe if it had ties, although would do that better on a size 14 or under. It is made to wear open, and for that, the drape is perfect. No misrepresentation here, a very nice addition to my festival wardrobe.
