early review - quiet yet powerful. great LED light

Installation - luckily I had measured very carefully, so this fan box fit exactly in the opening from the old fan. The hardest part was removing the old one, which was installed from above. When it came time to mount this one solidly against the joist, there were no available mounting holes in the fan box, so I pre-drilled my own. the provided screws attach the fan box by its front edges to the ceiling, which I don't consider a solid mounting option. I did use the edge mounting holes so the box is flush to the ceiling, but the weight is being held by the screws into the joist. result - no more wet mirrors when I step out of the shower! the new fan exhausts all the moisture and the mirror is completely dry. It's not as quiet as advertised, but that's actually ok - it's the guest bathroom so I think people welcome some noise cover... the LED light is great - warm not cold temp, and now the shower is fully lit unlike the old 60W bulb in the older unit. big improvement. now I'll have to keep shower a little cleaner... can't address reliability for a couple of years at least ;-)
