I completely wired my bike the old fashion way with all the fuses and relays, I was adamant that I didn't need or want the m unit and spent a couple hundred figuring out my wiring system. I ended up wanting to go with some new hand controls that had only momentary buttons and couldn't find any that were locking that would fit. After searching around on how to make them work I realized it would be another 100 just to get them to work and it would add more relays on top of what I already had. I decided to just bite the bullet and order this and what a difference! I completely got rid of all fuses and relays and cleaned up my rats nest that I had going on and then realized I had way more functionality with this then I even knew it came with. I have an 83 goldwing that got upgraded to the 21st century with options like an alarm, flashing brakes and phone connectivity that is actually useful, with a tracker system as well.
