Wingtip Derby with Lug Sole

These have the traction and presence of a boot without covering the ankle. They work well when I want something sturdy but still appropriate for a meeting or dinner.

The brogue pattern gives these a traditional look, but the heavy lug sole keeps them from feeling old-fashioned. I have worn them with both chinos and dark jeans.

The all-black finish makes the chunky shape easy to style. They looked polished enough for the office while still feeling more current than a basic wingtip.
