The new remote is simple to use, and came preprogrammed, with notes specifying which new buttons control the Nano features: power, mute, +/- for volume, 1..8 for the channels, and 9 for the tube. Note: Be careful not to use any of the other buttons on the new remote. Some alter the programming. I mistakenly pressed one of them, and then had to press the blue DVD button to restore the correct programming.
