LAMY AL-Star Pine Special Edition Fountain Pen

​Lamy pens are resilient and reliable, they just work when you need them to, even if they’ve been inked and sitting for a couple of weeks since last used. The annual special edition Al-Stars look sharp and are as pleasant to behold as they are to be held and written with. Purchasing online from Laywine is a good experience.

​beautiful pen but the nib was terrible: scratchy and rough, leaving deep marks on the paper. I have many Lamy pens and am familiar with the EF nibs - despite taking numerous steps to soften the nib I eventually had to swap in a nib from another Lamy. Lamy’s quality control is known to be spotty so this isn’t a criticism of Laywine’s but it was disappointing nonetheless.
