Fun for the family

We are gaming family and my teenagers have their friends over often. So far, Skittle is of interest! Winding the string and learning how to spin the top takes some practice. If you are patient, it will pay off as the game is a lot of fun!

Our Carrom Company Skittles Game Board arrived quickly and in perfect condition. It is nicely made and has proven to be much fun! After gaining some experience playing the game, a few "family" changes were initiated--we are using a 1mm waxed string. For us, it has made winding easier, tighter, and facilitates a faster, stronger spin. As per Carrom's suggestions, we have experimented winding the string on the upper part of the top as well as the bottom part of the top. All is fun. We made a few new "house rules" such as: during the game, we can carefully pick up any knocked-over pins to clear the path for a longer spin, we can put a 1/2" wedge under the near part of the game board to guide the top towards the far end, and we can remove the wedge again to guide the top back to the middle/front. I think that "accessories" could bring the game to another level: tops with different attributes and names--with spinning protrusions, or unique pins. An indent or some grooves to specifically receive the string for winding might be nice. Thank you, Carrom, for the fun!

ThinWood and Lightweight-Broke in 2 days

I tried to fix this problem but all I got was an option to return. The item was misaligned and 2 of the bridges were broken. The quality is not good. The wood is too thin and light weight and not worth the money . The craftsmanship is substandard. My grandmother had one of these in the 1950s. It lasted 75 years and counting. This one didn't make it one week. I am very disappointed. I had such high hopes. I was also disappointed that no one directly contacted me to resolve the issue in a better way. I did not wish to return, just to figure out why it was so poorly made and what could be done about it. I do not recommend!
