Attach it securely to your vacuum pump outlet, then insert the opposite end into the tubing. Next, take the free end of the tubing and firmly push it into the second connector located at the end of the Vacudog unit.

Vacuum pump connector for 8mm tube

Fitted to suggested vacuum pump from Amazon, pump existing fitting seems to be fitted with thread lock so I needed an impact driver to loosen without damaging pump. 8mm OD pipe just pushes in, works well.
