The perfect all season coat

I had this jacket shipped to me while I was living in Europe for seven months. If you’ve spent time there from fall through spring, you know the weather is usually cold, damp, and constantly changing. This jacket handled it perfectly. It’s lightweight enough to wear comfortably all day as temperatures shift, but still kept me warm and dry thanks to the water-resistant shell. The only thing I’d add is an inside pocket. If Origin included that, this jacket would easily be one of the best soft shells out there.

Good jacket, could use some improvements

The fit and material on this jacket are great, but being advertised as tough and rugged, it’s interesting that there isn’t a single zipper secured pocket on the entire thing. No zipper breast pocket, hand pocket, inside pocket… There is also no draw string on the hood. It will keep rain off as long as there is no wind. If the wind is coming toward you, the hood will fly off as there is no way to secure it. I still wear mine most days in an unpredictable MN spring.
