Perfect for our nursery, though getting it through the door was a workout

As a nervous first-time mom who inspects every piece of nursery furniture for safety, I was so relieved that it arrived with zero weird chemical off-gassing odors and has a completely solid, wobble-free frame with nice rounded edges. The orange velvet is wonderfully soft against sensitive skin, and it has already survived an accidental milk spill that wiped clean with just a damp washcloth and mild soap without staining. My only real frustration was the delivery process—the shipping box was an absolute beast to haul inside, and I had to use kitchen shears to trim away some loose backing fabric that was completely blocking one of the leg screw holes. That assembly hassle aside, it feels sturdy enough to survive the toddler years, and having the full 90 inches to stretch out completely during 3 a.m. wakeups has made it our favorite spot in the whole house.

My parents and I chipped in to get this orange velvet sofa for her new place, and it’s honestly the star of the living room.
