We bought this ottoman in November because we had a house full of family visiting between Thanksgiving and New Year's and desperately needed extra spots for people to sit. The cushion is firm enough that two adults can comfortably sit on it side by side without sinking, but when we didn't need the seating, we kept a wood serving tray on top to hold coffee mugs and holiday snacks.
