The S4 is a great addition to my fleet

When I got an X7 two years ago, I couldn’t have been more pleased. I named it the T-1000. It blasted through my front yard and never had any issues. People would stop their cars and watch it. I made a robot gate so it could get through my fence to the back yard but it struggled. I had to run it at night because it saw the gate as an obstacle. It would have RTK issues between my house and another. It would have its cowling knocked off by a tree it couldn’t detect. It mowed fine when it got past those issues but I needed something better. Enter the S4. Made for complicated yards like mine and with LiDAR instead of RTK, I knew it would do the trick. I named it the T-800. The OG terminator. It mapped flawlessly. The terrain map you can view makes it far easier to adjust boundaries. With no RTK it has no issue in signal deprived areas. The AI recognizes practically everything and it hasn’t run into a single obstacle. Well, save what comes out of our 160 pound dog…. This is the future folks. AI and LiDAR. I can easily envision a new model in a year or two that combines the features of the X7 and S4. It would be unstoppable mowing machine. Maybe there is a T-3000 in my future…

S4 impressions

Ease of setup. Navigating app easy enough for a non-techy. Cut quality is good, still making minor adjustments here and there. Tech support has been outstanding. After reviewing multiple manufacturers/machines, glad I went with Sunseeker.
