Coghlans Folding Stove

I bought this with the intention of using a Trangia alcohol burner as there just isn’t enough heat to cook from “canned” fuel. Canned fuel is really more for just keeping food warm. The Trangia burner works well however with the way that the stove is designed most pots cover the opening and cause the burner to overheat. I drilled four holes and installed four round head screws, each spaced up with a couple of flat washers and tightened down with the nuts on the inside of the stove. This allows the pot to be raised off of the stove and gives the hot air and flame an “escape” between the pot and stove so that the burner doesn’t overheat and then the alcohol burns properly and not to rich. Maybe a little to heavy for backpacking but a good vehicle or boating or emergency stove. Alcohol is a great and truly renewable fuel. Stove is good product. Can recommend it and Cabin Depot.
